Cecil Fuselier College of Pharmacy Scholarship
The Cecil Fuselier College of Pharmacy Scholarship was established in 2014 by Dr. Fuselier’s friend and former UNT Health faculty member, Dr. Patrick Clay. Dr. Cecil Fuselier, obtained his BS Pharmacy from University of Louisiana-Monroe and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Samford University. He then went on to complete advanced training in geriatrics followed by contributing to the advancement of pharmacist direct patient care services in this field over a distinguished career. Dr. Fuselier’s love for teaching drew him to academia where he mentored innumerable students to choose careers as academic-based clinical researchers. His inspirational classroom style captivated and instilled in students the desire to remain lifelong teachers and learners through research. This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate his passion for pharmacy while expressing a desire to always pursue new knowledge through clinical research.
Eligibility Criteria
- Pursuing a degree in Pharmacy
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must be an HSC student during the period of the award.
- Must be a second-year Pharmacy student
- Must be seeking a career as an academic-based clinical researcher
- Must meet federal guidelines for financial need. Applicants must complete the entire FAFSA process by May 1st.
Recipient must maintain the above requirements to receive the scholarship for spring semester. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
