Ben Harris Memorial Quasi Endowed Scholarship

The Ben Harris Memorial Quasi Endowed Scholarship was established in 2008 by UNT Health to honor one of HSC’s first faculty members. A member of the faculty since 1968, Dr. Harris was also one of the first Health Science Center faculty members to receive the honor of Regents Professor by the UNT System Board of Regents. His research interests focused on the biochemistry and enzymology of parasitic helminthes. This scholarship will be support students in the College of Biomedical & Translational Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a UNT Health student
• Pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical & Translational Sciences
• Major in Biochemistry or Cancer Biology
• Must be in good academic standing
• Must have published at least one original research publication or presentation

Recipient must maintain the above requirements to receive the scholarship for spring semester. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
