Elena & Thomas Yorio Endowed Scholarship

The Elena & Thomas Yorio Endowed Scholarship was established in 1999 by retired Faculty Emeritus, Dr. Thomas Yorio and his wife Elena Yorio. This scholarship supports students who are pursuing a degree in the School of Biomedical Sciences and were awardees in the Research Appreciation Day student competition.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pursuing a degree in Biomedical Sciences
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours for the period of the award
  • Scholarship is open to all students, however, preference will be given to students who received an award in the Research Appreciation Day student competition
  • Must meet federal guidelines for financial need. Applicants must complete the entire FAFSA process by May 1st.

    Did you receive an award in the Research Appreciation Day student competition?

Recipient must maintain the above requirements to receive the scholarship for subsequent semesters. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
