The Physician Assistants for Latino Health (PALH): The R & M Ramos Scholarship and The Carmen Nater Genoval Scholarship
PA Students. These two scholarships are specifically designated to Physician Assistant Students that are enrolled in a program that is designated for students to train and work in Puerto Rico, or any Physician Assistant Student that “Pledges to work in Puerto Rico”. The criteria for selection is the same as all of the other PALH Scholarships. Membership in PALH and AAPA; Leadership in the Latino community or have interest in Latino health issues (applicant does not need to be of Latino descent to apply for scholarship) Student in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (unofficial transcripts should be sent with application) Letter of recommendation from an instructor or preceptor, and Statement of purpose as to why the student should be considered for a scholarship. Deadline is normally April 1st each year.
