Dallas Area Gerontological Society Scholarship

Open to ALL students. The Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to those preparing for a career in Gerontology or those currently working in an aging field who wish to increase their skills through either a degree or certificate program. Live in Greater Dallas area, seeking careers in gerontology (including social work, counseling, nursing or administration or who currently are working in the field of aging); minimum GPA 3.0; must be enrolled or accepted by college. Completed application, one page essay addressing career goals and why you want scholarship, proof of enrollment or acceptance at accredited Univ, copy of current official transcript for hrs completed, and 2 letters of recommendation (1 academic & 1 person). Deadline is normally June/July each year.
